Giving History Analyzer

Upload 12 months of gift transactions and we compute each donor's perceived weekly gift — the amount they actually put in the envelope, not just their annual total divided by 50 — so every suggested increase starts from the right number.

1 — Import Giving History

Export a gift/contribution detail report for the last 12 months from your church management system — Breeze, Planning Center, PowerChurch, Servant Keeper, ACS Realm, Pushpay, or any system that produces a CSV. We only need three columns (we auto-detect the headers):

ColumnAccepted HeadersSample

DateDate, Gift Date, Contribution Date2026-03-08
AmountAmount, Gift, Total, Contribution$20.00

Church can't get the data out of their system? Have them send us whatever they can export — raw reports, Excel, even PDFs — via Secure File Upload and our data team preps it for analysis at no charge.

2 — Analysis Rules

How the perceived weekly gift is assigned, in order:

Envelope RegularGave at least the threshold number of gifts → their typical (modal) gift is the perceived weekly gift — $20 in every envelope is a $20/week giver even if they only turned in 30 envelopes. Never total ÷ 50.
Monthly GiverRoughly monthly cadence (10–19 gifts) → typical gift × 12 ÷ 52.
Large InfrequentFewer gifts than the threshold but annual total at or above the large-donor threshold (e.g., $2,000 in one or two checks) → annual total ÷ 52.
Base ValueFew gifts and a small annual total → assigned the base weekly value.
📊

Why not total ÷ 50?

If Jim gives $20 every week he attends but only turned in 30 envelopes, total-÷-50 calls him a $12/week giver. His suggested increase would land below what he already gives. The analyzer bases Jim's ask on the $20 he actually puts in the envelope.

Feeds Straight Into Your Campaign

The perceived weekly gift becomes {{LastGiftAmount}} and the suggested increase becomes {{AskAmount}} in your campaign letters — no spreadsheet gymnastics.
